Mrs. Linda Yaden Steadham, age 65, of McDavid, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at her home.
Mrs. Steadham was born in Century, FL, and she spent her lifetime there where she worked and retired as a mail processor for the U.S. Postal Service in Pensacola, FL. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her loving parents, Bruce and Ruby Crawley Yaden, and her brother, Bruce Yaden, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, David Steadham of McDavid, FL; son, Casey Burkett of Mobile, AL; brother, Ronnie (Joyce) Yaden of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law, Debbie Yaden of Pensacola, FL; brothers-in-law, Danny (Minner) Steadham and Jeff (Sue) Steadham of McDavid, FL; nieces, Debbie (Dennis) Finegan of Green Cove Springs, FL, Karen (Andy) Layton of Milton, FL, Daniele Steadham of Pensacola, Fl; nephews, Jeffery (Jill) Steadham of McDavid, FL, Ian Steadham of McDavid, FL; great nieces and nephews, Andrew Howell, Christina Finegan, Wesley Layton, Ashley Finegan, Liam Steadham and Abby Edwards.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel from 5 until 8 P.M.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31 at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel at 9:30 A.M.
Pallbearers will be Andy Layton, Andrew Howell, Jeffery Steadham, Larry Stuckey, Eddie Ledkins, Wesley Layton.
Interment will be in Ray’s Chapel Cemetery, McDavid, FL.
Charles L. Cummings

Charles L. Cummings, 76 of Atmore, AL, passed away August 27, 2019, in Century, FL. He was born in Bibb County, AL on October 11, 1942, to the late J.C. and Alice Argo Cummings. He retired from Vanity Fair where he was in management.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Black Cummings, three sons Mike (Traci) Cummings, Wayne Cummings, Gary Cummings and a daughter Teresa (Tony) Hadley all of Atmore, AL; four Brothers, Tommy (Dot) Cummings, David (Brenda) Cummings, Jerry (Jimmie Ruth) Cummings, and Bill (Patsy) cummings all of Montevallo, AL; grandchildren, Clay (Ashley) Cummings, Klint (Jamie) Burkett, Leslie (Dustin) Helton, Dustin McGhee, Dylan (Melissa) McGhee, Jacob Hadley, and Annalyn Hadley; great-grandchildren, Trip Gilly, Brantley Cummings, Taiten Cummings, Mason Helton, Taylor Helton, Emma Baggett, Ava Baggett and Noah Baggett.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Waylon Stuckey officiating.
Burial will follow in Canoe Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Michael Edward Faircloth

Michael Edward Faircloth, 59, of Molino, FL passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019. He was born in Pensacola, FL on September 11, 1959 to the late Edward Faircloth and Betty Thurman Faircloth.
Michael loved fishing and spending time at the beach.
Michael is survived by his wife of 34 years, Frances King Faircloth; daughters, Danna and Jaime; son, Michael; grandchildren, Kambrie, Jordan, Jr., Jamarlyn, Jada, and Hayden; brother, Steve (Kristie); sister, Rennee (Eddy); nieces, Bridget and Christa; and nephews, Nick, Johnny, and Bobby.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Sam Bankester officiating.
Visitation will be held at 12:30 p.m. prior to services. Burial to follow in Dry Springs Cemetery.

Norma Lillian Kast Grimes
August 27, 2019
Norma Lillian Kast Grimes was born Mar. 4, 1937 and joined Heaven’s Choir singing hymns of praise to her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Mon., Aug. 26, 2019.
Norma was well known in the Barrineau Park Community as a charter member of Berean Bible Assembly and charter member of the Barrineau Park Historical Society. She and Alton, her husband, started A & N Blueberry Farm in the early 80’s and enjoyed the company of the many people who came to pick by inviting them to sit in their large gazebo with its many swings. She is remembered lovingly by many children she babysat over 25 years.
Norma is remembered by her children as a devout Christian mother who loved her family and people, in general, especially children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton J. Grimes; mother and father, Clayton and Lottie Kast; granddaughter, Laura D. Myrick; and brothers, Tharrel Kast and Dalton Kast.
Norma is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Ronald) Crutchfield; son, Gary (Jessica) Grimes; daughter, Margaret (Shelby) Nall; grandkids, April (Adam) Glass, Eli (Sarah) Miller, Richard Grimes, Eva Grimes, and Linsey Myrick; great grandkids, Anthony, Kyleigh, and Natalie Glass and John Parker, Ellison, and Lillian Miller; brother, Phillip (Juanita) Kast; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10AM, on Fri., Aug. 30, 2019 at Victory Assembly of God with Rev. Ken Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pugh’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5PM to 7PM on Thurs., Aug. 29, 2019 at the church.

Arthur Lamar ‘Bunkin’ Powell

Arthur Lamar “BUNKIN” Powell
1924 – 2019
He was born Arthur Lamar Powell, in Sulpher, Louisiana on January 28, 1924 to George Arthur and Mary Sue Powell. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Roy and Earl (Babe). Arthur went to work at St. Regis Paper Mill where he worked for 37 years before retiring in 1985. It was there he got the nicknames Bunkin and Red.
Bunkin loved the most: His family, friends, peanut butter and syrup on Louise’s warm biscuits, yearly fishing trips to Demopolis, AL with family and friends, hunting, his garden and 5 gallon buckets. Bunkin was very possessive of his buckets. If one had an “A.P.” written on it, it better not be at your house! These buckets were like his life. Always full. Always busy. In them might be peas he planted, grew, picked, shelled, then gave away, trot lines like the one he worked on last week, or deer guts, paper bags (for just in case), fertilizer, tools… Each one had a purpose. Each one gave him joy. Each one filled with his love.
Oh, the things he’s seen, historical events he’s witnessed and the stories he could tell. Each and every family member and friend has their favorite or two.
A perfect example of Bunkin’s longevity is “The Stainless Steel Bolt” story. He was at the bolt shop and was buying stainless steel bolts. The neighbor next door happened in and asked, “Why are you buying expensive stainless steel bolts? You won’t be around long enough to even see a cheap metal one rust.” Bunkin looked at him and said, “Maybe you won’t but I WILL!” Yep, that sums Bunkin up perfectly. Steadfast! Just like that stainless steel bolt.
So after 95 years, 6 months and 23 days, Arthur Lamar Powell with the Lord in his heart, left us and this earth on August 23, 2019. He will be missed but not forgotten!
He is survived by: wife, Louise Powell, children: Lamar (Bonnie) of Autaugaville, AL, Randy (Shelia) and Rickey (Fay) of Molino, FL, grandchildren: Tela (Brad) Wegner, Amanda (David) Kicker of Millbrook , AL, Clay (April) Powell, Cody Powell, Megan (Charlie) Driver, Amber (Robb) Whitfield, Casey Powell of Molino, FL, great- grandchildren: Chloe Wegner, Kinzey Powell, Lily, Ruby and Samuel Driver, Ethan and Emma Kicker, Aria Whitfield.

Mrs. Barbara Lindsey Stokes, age 84, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Jay, Florida.
Mrs. Stokes was a native of Bay Minette, AL, former resident of Pensacola, FL until 1982 and had resided in Century, FL for the past 36 years. She was retired from Monsanto Corp. with 38 years of service, retiring as an Operations Leader. She was of the Methodist Faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Ruby Lindsey; husband, Otto Stokes, Jr. and two sons, Robert Earl Gafford and J.W. (Dubbs) Gafford.
She is survived by one son, Otto (Karen) Stokes, III of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Barbara Ann Flowers of Pensacola, FL and Ruby Patricia Tolbert of Brewton, AL; fourteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at the Bay Minette Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 30, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Christopher Cary Cardwell

Christopher Cary Cardwell passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Sunday, August 18, 2019.
He was born May 13, 1966, to the late Water “Danny” Cardwell and Judy (Barrow) Cardwell in Edwards Airforce Base, CA; spending the majority of his life in Pensacola, FL.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Teresa (Coggin) Cardwell; his daughter, Brittany (Cardwell) Cummings; his son-in-law, Caleb Cummings; his granddaughter, Emelia Cummings; his mother, Judy (Barrow) Cardwell; and his brothers, Kevin and Brandon Cardwell.
He is preceded in death by his father, Water (Danny) Cardwell; his paternal grandparents, Anton “Buddy” Cardwell and Mattie Cardwell; and his maternal grandparents, William Barrow and Ruby Barrow.
He was a graduate of Tate High School Class of 1984. Growing up, he was a member of First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill in Cantonment, and then a member of King’s Way Church in Pensacola as an adult. He was an avid reader and talented artist, often seen drawing and creating wood-working projects. A barber by trade, Chris loved every single one of his clients and his craft. He also spent many hours hunting and fishing with his friends and family.
Chris could crack a joke that could lighten any mood. His friends and family say that he was one of the nicest guys you would ever meet.
Friends and families whose lives were touched by Chris’ life celebrated his life at Faith Chapel North Funeral Home on August 22, 2019.
Wiley Grady Milstead

Wiley Grady (Blue) Milstead stepped into the fullness of God’s presence on Monday, August 19, 2019, surrounded by numerous family members. He was born in Walnut Hill, FL, on August 27, 1928, to Grady and Ida Ward Milstead. He lived in Pensacola, FL, Pine Hill, AL, Molino, FL, Zachary, LA, and spent the last few years of his life in the northwestern region of the country, residing for a time in Post Falls, ID, and his final years in the state of Washington, near the town of Ephrata.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, June Briggs Milstead, to whom he was married for over 67 years; two sons, Jonathan Mark and Glenn Eddie Milstead; one granddaughter, Aimee Elizabeth Milstead, and all of his seven siblings.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Robinson Milstead Stewart; a son, C. Grady Milstead and his wife, Claire Biggs Milstead; two daughters, Rebecca Milstead Emmons, and her husband Pat Emmons, Rachel Milstead Dotson, and her husband, Gerald Dotson, 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was known by his mother, siblings, and other extended family members as Boy Blue. His wife and friends called him Blue. His children called him Daddy, his grandchildren, Granddaddy Blue, and his great-grandchildren, Blue Daddy.
As a young man, Blue accepted by faith the gift of eternal life offered to him by His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an active member of various Baptist churches during his lifetime, First Baptist Church of Ensley, FL, First Baptist Church of Pine Hill, AL, and Dogwood Park Baptist Church in Dogwood Park, FL. He gladly served as a deacon and as an usher.
He worked as an employee of various pulp and paper mills over the course of his life. He worked at the St. Regis mill (now International Paper Co.) in Cantonment, FL, at the MacMillan-Blodel mill (now International Paper Co) in Pine Hill, AL, and at the Georgia Pacific mill in Zachary, LA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a quiet man who will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
As per his wishes, his body will be cremated, and the urn of ashes will be added to the niche alongside that of his wife, June.

Owedia Jewel Kittrell

Owedia Jewel Kittrell, 77, was born in Hubbard, Alabama, April 13, 1942. She died in Pensacola, FL on August 18, 2019, from cancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Ross Kittrell; her brother, John Aleck “Kit” Kittrell; and her son, infant Langley; and her cousin, Sam Kasl.
She was a Respiratory Therapist for years as well as a “Nanny” for at least 28 children. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She enjoyed an active lifestyle as she loved working in her yard, keeping children, and Christmas time. She always took children to certain events.
She is survived by her daughter, Janice Anne Scribner (Chuck); and her granddaughter, Kelly Kaye Westgate (Cody Saint-Fiance, and Reese); and her sister, Rose Ann Coval and family.
Services were held August 24, 2019, at Faith Chapel North.
Jimmy Karl Victor

Mr. Jimmy Karl Victor, age 69, of Atmore, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019. He was a native of Perdido but lived most of his life in Atmore. Mr. Victor was a retired painter in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karl Paul Victor and Sarah Long Victor.
Mr. Victor is survived by three brothers, Johnny Victor of Flomaton, AL, Phillip Victor of Atmore, AL and Donnie Victor of Century, FL; and one sister, Sarah Criswell of McDavid, FL.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
