Whit Thomas Parker

Whit Thomas Parker passed away unexpectedly at his home in Molino, Florida on December 19th 2020. He was born on May 4, 1976 in Pensacola, Florida and remained close to home throughout his life. Whit grew up young, wild, and free creating many friendships that would go on to last him a lifetime. Whit had a deep love for his family and he enjoyed every second he got to spend with them. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, taking photos, writing, drawing, and collecting small treasures to remind him of the memories he made throughout his life. His best friend in his last years of life and with whom he spent a lot of his time was his beloved dog “John D”. Whit will live on forever through the hearts and minds of those he loved. There is no doubt that he has left an everlasting impression with everyone he met. His family is comforted in knowing he is finally at peace.
Whit is preceded in death by his father, Paul Thomas Parker. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Parker; his sister, Chastity(Michael) Bouwkamp; his niece, Caristyn McCurley; his nephews, Codie Bouwkamp and Cayden Bouwkamp, and his great niece, Cali Rose Coffey whom he called “Lily”. Pallbearers are Trent Stewart, Joey Russell, Timothy Maulden, Donnie Manning, Mitch Way, Joel Wise, and David Kyzer.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 beginning at 12:30 pm with the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Clopton Cemetery at 2:45 p.m.
William Earl Chancery

William Earl Chancery, age 70, passed away December 27, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born August 30, 1950 to Albert and Evie Lambeth Chancery. Married to Rachel Clowers Chancery for 52 years. They have two children. He had worked in the grocery retail business since the age of 16. He had been store manager at the local Piggly Wiggly, now Food Giant, and retired due to health reasons. He was a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Clowers Chancery; daughter, Shannon Chancery Singleton Eiland and her husband Jerry of Flomaton; son, David Chancery of Flomaton; three grandsons, Blake and Hannah Chancery, Connor Chancery and Cameron Chancery all of Kentucky; one granddaughter, Olivia Singleton of Montgomery, AL; one brother, Glynn and Gloria Chancery of Arkansas; one sister, Pat and Dennis Myrick of Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Aubrey, Charles, Billy Joe, John, Bobby and Mike; four sisters, Eulamae, Barbara, Walterene and Geraldine.
Visitation will be held at Flomaton Funeral Home on Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, January 1, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Travelers Rest Cemetery with Bro. Jonathon Hill and Bro J.P. Lambert officiating.
Theresa D. Tichi

Mrs. Theresa D. Tichi, 86, of Davisville, FL passed away on December 24, 2020 at herresidence. She was born to the late Alec C. and Nettie Evelyn Adams Douglas on November 26, 1934 in Mobile, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Tichi; two brothers, Buddy Douglas and George Douglas and one sister, Mary Alice Hansen. She and her husband owned and operated Tichi’s Garage in Davisville for many years and she had such a generous heart and loved helping people during their time of need.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Lee Ann McGill (Charles D. Anderson) of Orange Beach, AL and Anna Marie Bauman of Willow, AK; brother, Henry (Ellen) Douglas of Mobile, AL; granddaughter, Courtney Bauman, many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would also like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers that have helped through the years and especially Mrs. Mary Lee for taking special care of Mrs. Tichi for the past 10 years.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2 PM from the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Otis Thames officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Barren Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 from 1 PM until service time at 2 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Willie “Bea” Polk

Willie “Bea” Polk, 97, was called to glory on Christmas Eve evening Dec. 24, 2020. She lived a long, full life serving Jesus, her Lord and Savior.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Emmitt Polk; sons, Jerry Walter Smith and Larry Edward Smith.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Liggon; son, Steve (Melissa) Smith; nine grandchildren, Tammy Smith, Craig Liggon, David Broxson, Janine Broxson, Greg Smith, Stephanie Smith, Justin Smith, and Jonathan Smith; sixteen great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Wes Enfinger officiating. Interment will follow in Cottage Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 from 6PM to 8PM at the funeral home.
Grady Clark Glover

Mr. Grady Clark Glover, age 82, of Jay, FL, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at West Florida Hospital after a brief illness.
Clark was born in Byrneville, FL on March 21, 1938 to Leonard and Ethel Glover. During his working years, he worked as a welder through Local Union #52. He resided in Century Florida before moving to Jay. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; two sisters, and one son, Keith Glover.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marie Glover of Jay, FL; son, Larry (Robbi) Glover of Jay, FL; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Jay Cemetery at 3 P.M. with Bro. Bobby Carnley officiating.
Susan Manac Wicker

Mrs. Susan Manac Wicker, age 66, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Wicker was a native and life long resident of Atmore, AL. She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart Charles. She loved her children, grandchildren, St. Anna’s church and the Poarch Creek Tribe. She loved Christmas, Halloween and cats. She was a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and the St. Anna’s Episcopal Church. She was employed with the Poarch Band of Creek Indians with 31 years of service, where she served as Housing Director for 25 years and served two terms on Tribal Counsil from 1983-1989 and 1991-1994 as Treasurer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Leola Manac and four brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Earl Wicker of Atmore, AL; one son, Brian “Pete” and Maria Wicker of Land O’Lakes, FL; one daughter, Tawana and Ross Parham of Poarch, AL; one sister, Sarah Margaret Rone of Poarch, AL; six grandchildren, Destiny Embry, Torey Wicker, Jude Parham, Charleigh Parham, Jayden Wicker and Abigail Wicker; one great grandchild, Mary Kenneth Embry and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Father Mike Hill officiating.
Burial will follow at the Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 5 to 7 PM at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jayden Wicker, Jude Parham, Larry Faircloth, Jerry Faircloth, Justin Davis and Justin Hiebert.
Betty Jo Wilson

Betty Jo Wilson, 78 of Flomaton, AL passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Century, FL. She was born on October 31, 1942 in Frisco City, AL to the late Russell and Allie Hanks Kimmons. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.C. Wilson; her brothers and sisters, Marvin Kimmons, Russell Kimmons, Mack Kimmons, Estelle Buckhault and Faye Wilson. Mrs. Betty loved her family and was a member of Holy Ground Holiness Church.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Jim) Young of Canoe, AL and Christy Johnson of Colorado. Grandchildren Adam (Holly) Young, Jaime Young, Davida Leino and Hunter Leino. Great grandchildren, Logan, Leah, Lauren, Adalynne and Ayden. Special niece, Kathy Stophel and a very special friend and caregiver Earnestine Arnold. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Kathy Stophel officiating. Interment will follow at Cooper Cemetery in Brewton, AL.
Active pallbearers will be Adam Young, Jaime Young, Robert Earl Wilson, Jr., Brandon Stophel, Tristian Mayhan, Jim Young and Hunter Leino.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Sgt. Ray Dykes II

Sgt. Ray Dykes II, age 43, passed away on December 9, 2020.
Ray Dykes is survived by his wife, Jennifer Dykes; children, Margi (Wesley) Cummings, Tyler Fuqua, Keaton Fuqua, Payton Fuqua; parents, Ray Dykes Sr., Peggy (Bill) Stephens. His sisters Candace Freeman and Tiffany Allen and many nieces and nephews also survive him.
Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Smith Jr; grandparents Clifton (Louise) Dykes and James (Myrtle) English.
He was a graduate of J.M. Tate High School, 1995, where he played football and wrestled through his high school career. After attending college, Ray decided to dedicate his life to Law Enforcement. Ray served with the Escambia County Sheriff Office as a Corrections officer before he joined the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Department. Through his time with the Sheriff’s office, he was part of many heroic departments. He served with the GPS Special Operations Team, Property Crimes, Narcotics, Patrol, SWAT and U.S. Marshals. He loved his brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement and loved serving people.
When Ray was not at work, he was with his family doing what he loved. Whether it was hunting, fishing, hiking, or building stuff, you could see a smile on his face and hear his heart felt laugh . He loved his Runnamucka Ranch that he and Jennifer created with their kids. His time spent with family brought him great joy and he would do anything for them and all of the cows and chickens and dogs; but especially his dog Bandit.
The celebration of Ray’s life will be Wednesday, December 16th from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Faith Chapel North. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 17th at 11:00a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with an additional visitation from 10:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at Bayview Cemetery.

Jerry N. Kelly, 74, of Gonzales passed away November 23, 2020 in Pensacola, FL with his son and family by his side. Jerry was born on November 2, 1946 in Clanton Alabama. Jerry’s family moved to Pensacola where his father, Hubert Kelly, began work at Chemstrand later know as Monsanto.
Jerry attended Tate High School where he graduated in 1965. After graduating high school Jerry enlisted in the Army National Guard. Jerry then began his long career as a lab technician at Monsanto. Jerry and his brother Mike both worked as lab technicians in the 707 lab.
During Jerry’s long career at Monsanto he developed a special talent for the game of golf. Jerry developed his golf skills at the Monsanto golf course and other local courses throughout the Pensacola area. Jerry was humble about his golfing talent. But the truth is that Jerry was an outstanding golfer who won many tournaments throughout the years. His house is filled with numerous golf bags full of drivers and putters and thousands of new golf balls all of which is only a portion of the proceeds of his many tournament wins.
Jerry also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He spent many days in the woods deer hunting with his brother Mike and other friends. He and Mike also enjoyed fishing in the Gulf for Snapper and Cobia on their boat “Gotcha”. Their fishing trips supplied many fish fries enjoyed by friends and family. Jerry also loved to have a fish fry whenever his beloved Auburn Tigers were playing. Jerry and Mike were die hard Auburn Fans!
Jerry LOVED Tate! Working with Tate’s ball programs was one of Jerry’s biggest passions. To Jerry EVERYONE at Tate was his extended family. Jerry was 100% committed to helping in any and every way he could. From the coaches to the players to the playing field, Jerry’s heart was in them all! Jerry volunteered his time to the Tate ball programs for many years because he truly loved being part of the Tate Family.
I know if Jerry could he would thank everyone at Tate for allowing him to be part of their sports program for so many years. Being part of the Tate family brought Jerry much happiness and fulfillment.
Jerry is proceeded in death by his parents, Hubert Quentin and Mary Lou Kelly and brother, Michael Edward Kelly.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memories: son, Randall W. Kelly; sister Lisa (Randy) Ard; sister-in-law, Sylvia Kelly; niece, Tina Kelly, nephew Pat Kelly; niece Kari (Anthony) Rowland and Kelli Ard; nephew Chris (Hannah) Ard and many other nieces and nephews; long time girlfriend Pam Perry; and extended Tate Aggie Family and Friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Jerry Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Trahan Family Funeral Home on Industrial Blvd. Visitation at 6 p.m. Services at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Mary Frances Turk, age 72, passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 13, 2020, in Panama City Beach, Florida. She was a native of McDavid, Florida, and a longtime resident of Flomaton, Alabama. A retired bus driver with the Escambia County, Alabama School System, she was Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Turk is survived by two daughters, Chasity (Mike) Pettis of Brewton, Alabama, and Debra (Tony) Simmons of Panama City Beach, Florida; two brothers, Leroy Jernigan of Brewton, Alabama, and Troy Jernigan of Louisiana; one sister, Peggy Morris of Mobile, Alabama; son-in-law, Robby McCann; eight grandchildren, Nathan Simmons, Jessica Myers, Haley Fore, Ashlyn Pettis, Jennifer Zisa, Kimberly McCann, Megan McCann, and Leslie McCann; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Turk, and her daughter, Tammy McCann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton, Alabama, with Pastor Rob Woodrum officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Flomaton Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home of Brewton directing. Pallbearers will be Tony Simmons, Nathan Simmons, Mike Pettis, and Robby McCann.
