Sheriff’s Dept. Safety Program
The Escambia County Farm Bureau Womens Committee will host a series of home and person safety programs beginning Saturday, November 21 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Molino at 9 a.m. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office will present “Safety In The Home, Shopping Safety”. Information will be provided specific to living in a rural area, as well as tips to stay safe when starting that holiday shopping. Art At The Farm
Art at the Farm will be held Saturday, November 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8600 Rease Seales Road in Walnut Hill. Local arts and crafts vendors, pony rides for the kids, food vendors, Christmas photos and much more. Bring the family and enjoy a day at the farm. Molino Community Blood Drive
Aldersgate United Methodist Church and Highland Baptist will host a Community Blood Drive this Sunday, November 22. The Northwest Florida Bloodmobile will be at Aldersgate from 8 to 11 a.m. and then at Highland from 12 until 2 p.m. Please consider giving the gift of life during this holiday season.
Community Thanksgiving Service — Atmore
A Community Thanksgiving Celebration will be held Sunday, November 22 at 6 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church on Highway 31 east of Atmore. Several area churches will participate with choirs and other special music groups. A mass choir practice will be held at 5 p.m. prior to the service for anyone wishing to sing. Pastor Harold Askew of the New Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Drive in Atmore will bring the message. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Sell Your Unwanted Gold
Sell your unwanted gold and make some Black Friday shopping cash! The Northview High School Competition Cheerleaders will hold a gold party Monday afternoon, November 23 from 3:45 until 5:30 in the gym lobby. Bring in your unwanted gold. There is nothing to buy, only money to earn. You will receive your money on the spot after your gold has been assessed.
Century Relay Team Captain Party
A Century Relay for Life team captain party will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, November 23 at the Century Ag Building on West Highway 4.
Cantonment Community Thanksgiving Service
Three area churches will hold a community Thanksgiving service on Tuesday, November 24 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Monica’s Episcopal Church at 699 South Highway 95A in Cantonment. The Rev.. Carolyn Nelson, Associate Pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church, will preach. She will be assisted by Rev. Walk Jones of Northminster Presbyterian, Rev. Jason Adams of St. Luke UMC and Fr. Milledge Baker, the new rector of St. Monica’s Episcopal Church, the host congregation. A Thanksgiving Offering to support United Ministries in Pensacola will be received at the ecumenical service. A combined choir from the three congregations will sing. Everyone is welcome. Fellowship and refreshments to follow.
Community Safety Awareness Seminar
A community safety awareness seminar will be held Tuesday, December 1 at 6 p.m. in the Molino Park Elementary cafeteria with training from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. For more information, call (850) 587-5152.
Santa Gives Back Christmas
Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Molino, will host a Children/Youth Christmas Musical on Sunday, December 6at 6:30 p.m. “Santa Gives Back Christmas”, is a funny musical which communicates the real meaning of Christmas. Fellowship and refreshments afterward All are invited to attend. Children/Youth - There is still time to participate in the musical, as practices are currently being conducted weekly. A Savior is Born Musical Drama
“A Savior is Born”, a musical drama, will be presented Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, December 13-15 at 6:30 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Prayer Path and Park located at 1120 South Main Street in Atmore. The production is a presentation of the story of the birth of Christ from the Gabriel to the Inn. The grand finale will be an interactive manger scene as well as the actors presenting in song.
Christmas Food Drive
Jazzlyn and La’Derious Franklin, youth members at the Walnut Hill Church of God in Christ, are sponsoring a Christmas Food Drive for the needy. Please drop off nonperishable food items during church hours at 52 North Cypress Street or at 80 Juniper Street during the week. The food drive continues until December 13.
Christmas To The Cross — Live Nativity Event
The First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill will host an outdoor event called “Christmas to the Cross” on Friday, December 18 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. The event is a live nativity scene which portrays the life of Jesus from His birth in a manger, to His death of on the cross and His resurrection from the grave. There will be plenty of homemade cookies, hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Everyone is welcome to enjoy this free, festive event. The church is located at 230 Williams Ditch Road in Cantonment.
Crafting Group To Meet

NWE Baseball Registration
Northwest Escambia baseball registration will start in January and run for three weeks each Saturday from 10 am until noon. Boys and girls ages 3 to 18.
