Great job by the K-9 handler. All dogs have the ability to discriminate scents. It takes a great handler who is willing to commit the time and effort to train the dog to this level.

In the past there have been dogs that could smell everything from cancer to a certain type of fish. Again, the handler has to have the knowledge, skill and patience to train a dog to this level.

@JRow I’ve heard that only one out of fifty dogs in training have a strong enough sense of smell to sniff out the chemical compound that all devices that contain memory have…tri-something. Sorry I could not remember the chemical. Even most bomb sniffing dogs don’t detect it. Pretty cool that they can do those important things.

Most of the people who commit these crimes were victims of some kind of sexual perversion as children. That doesn’t lessen our reactions to these acts, but it certainly is a call to report any suspicions that a child might be at risk. Increasing funding for mental illness could be helpful, but won’t fix everything. Sadly, we have many broken people among us.

I’m unclear how a canine can be trained to detect an electronic device. Perhaps by the battery contents? Very impressive.

Seems like this one don’t get it !!! You don’t mess with children !!! Why can’t you understand this !!!! When convicted you will be sent to prison and ya got to know these people in prison don’t like what you did and will find you out quickly!!! Then it starts your life is over completely!!! Good bye !!!!
