Century is the birth place of heroes. This is the story of two hometown boys: Nat Showalter and Anthony Pleasant. They became heroes to many of the Century children when they made it big.
NAT SHOWALTER
Showalter Park, formerly known as Kelly Field, is one of the most interesting places in Century. Showalter Park is named after Nat Showalter.

Nat Showalter is currently the manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks and former manager of the New York Yankees. The park includes a tennis court, a playground for children, a fitness area, and many baseball, softball, and tee-ball fields. The park is home to many baseball and softball tournaments.
ANTHONY PLEASANT
Anthony Pleasant is known as a hometown hero in Century. This former ball player at Century High School made it big when he signed a contract to play for the Cleveland Browns. Pleasant played defensive end for the Cleveland Browns.
