If I were sentenced to death. I would want every possible appeal available.
Regardless, what he did was terrible and his real punishment is just beginning.

I love that the Governor is carrying out these executions. There should be a time limit for appeals. No wonder the prisons are packed.

The tragedy here is that processes allow prisoners to resist and delay their executions for 30 to 50 years. With respect to the total number, De Santis is doing exactly what I voted for and I hope he continues to do so. If their are any more that can be processed please proceed.

It cost over $1M to house him and probably another $1M to fund his ongoing appeals. For a man who was obviously guilty as sin. And he had appeals left he could have filed. It should not take 50 years for this process to play out

Growing up poor or being drugged is no excuse for taking someone’s life but it seems to have gotten him a lot more years of life before his final silence was carried out. It was about 49 years too late. These people should not be allowed to grow old on death row. They didn’t allow their victims to grow old. Why should they be allowed to?
