The process should not take 30-50 years to exhaust nor cost the State $1M+ per inmate in attorney fees before the sentence can be finally carried out. There are inmates dying of old age on death row and with 25 inmates who have been there 40+ years. The State either needs to find a way to expediate the process (less than 10 years) or just commute the sentences to Live in Prison and save the money being spent on lawyers.
