I see people on here that want to complain about doing your time and still being punished because you can’t find employment or a good paying job because you have a felony charge on your record. To begin with you should have thought about that before you committed the crime. Are you people two years old? It’s against the law to steal. Live with it. I do everyday. But I have a dam good job operating a construction forklift and make 3,500 dollars a week and have 7 drug felony in escambia County Florida. But I got off my butt and found that job by myself. Company’s are hiring everyday begging for help.

People commit a felony. They get caught and sentenced. But completing the sentence is not the end of the story. Yes, some return to a life of crime and become repeat offenders.

But others do not repeat and learn from their mistake. Yet, their entire lives are now measured by the incident for which restitution has been paid. They are never able to recover. It’s like a life sentence to struggle.

That’s not right.

In 2023, this guy was 22 years old. He had a federal civil service job that paid decent wages. He had benefits such as medical insurance and paid time off. Instead of using that opportunity as a stepping stone to improve his skills and his career, he decided to use it to traffic marijuana. SMH.

Stuff like this has been going on forever. Many years ago my Mom delivered mail on a rural route from Yazoo City to Vicksburg Mississippi. The lady that originally ran that route wanted my Mom to continue delivering moonshine and collecting the money from her customers. My Mom said No Way!
