All of the comments has good points! One thing I see for improvement is to replace our road and traffic engineers. The way some intersections are designed is asking for wrecks. How many traffic lights operate if causing problems.example of bad intersections look at Hwy 95a and Kingfield. Why is a left turn and straight away both in the same lane?! For more safety and less congestion put the left lane by itself. Common sense!!!!

This intersection is dangerous due to the blindspot when heading north on Hwy 29 crossing Neal Rd. The turning lane from Hwy 29 turning east on Neal Rd. causes the blindspot when it has traffic. For people pulling out onto Hwy 29 from Neal Rd. if there is traffic coming up 29 and anyone is in the turning lane you absolutely have no clear view of what is coming. I turned onto Neal Rd. a few years ago taking my grand daughter home and heard the impact and out my rear view mirror saw the car with the woman who got killed up in the air. She had been an employee at that Dollar General right at that corner and was leaving work. What a tragedy.

I drive this road everyday and it’s call pay attention to driving and everything else can wait and DONT take any chances it ain’t worth it be 100% sure before you do anything when driving

The resident of the area must come to realize that Hwy. 29 is like an Interstate Hwy.
“NOT YOUR LOCAL STREET”. There are travelers coming into this area from many different states on this state Hwy. 29. When you enter the roadway, if you got nowhere to go, get out of the way, Slow Traffic Keep Right, get out of the Left Lane, or drive the car.

For those saying “we need a traffic light”, that’s just laughable. Ppl cried about the same thing for Hwy 29/97 intersection, and lights made zero difference. There are still tons of accidents there. Traffic lights will never compensate for horrible drivers. It’s crazy to think otherwise.

Why not a light at every intersection..
My 2018 chevy Silverado was totaled at 29 & 9 1/2 mile rd on 6-29. Kid ran a true redlight. Missed killing me by 5′. He was on his phone and the wreck wasnt posted here with pics.I and my neighbor went to the hospital. He has settled already with the 18 y.o. insurance. I am waiting on a neurologist report on my PTSD & CTE that I have.

Another traffic light? People are gonna run the lights. I see it every single morning that I’m at that light at 29 & Muscogee. Same at 29 & 95a. People have to pay attention to their surroundings….which many donot do. That’s when the wrecks happen. People running stop signs, traffic lights & simply taking risks that kill and or injure people. I can’t comprehend it. Why do people take these risks of not paying attention and being sued, injured, killed, or have killed someone else and face imprisonment for vehicular manslaughter. Back in April my vehicle was totaled when I crashed into a guy who simply pulled from a stop sign. Thank God that neither of my grandchildren were seriously injured. When people yell “put in a traffic light”, do they actually know that the vast majority of accidents are from people running red lights? Put down whatever your distraction is and pay attention to your driving. It’s not that hard to do. You will most likely be saving a life. Would it not be terrible to kill someone then go to prison over a radio adjustment or a cell phone use. But I know I know most people feel that “it’ll never happen to me”. Yes it will folks.
