Many have no idea what it takes to keep traffic flowing on this type of project. The Contractor would love to shut down US29, the railroad, and the eastbound traffic on I10. A new overpass, new railroad crossing and new elevated dedicated overshoot over 29 is going to take a little time. I see a lot of dirt being moved and clearing happening along the entire route along with the installation of sound deadening barriers. Can we all just relax and appreciate the work being done? That the added infrastructure will pay dividends down the line. Just be glad you’re not a trucker stuck in this mess and that as a local you have other route options…settle down folks!
