The lead is from the solder used on the copper pipes in the home. This is not a Town of Century water problem. There are grants available for homeowners to chang out their pipes.

Century certainly has its issues and challenges no doubt.

But they didn’t put the piping in to your house from the meter.
And the article says lead is not present in the water being supplied.

Thus it’s in the homeowners piping.

I’m pretty sure under this administration lead is good for you. Gives you iron, helps with anemia, and probably cures autism. Who needs science any more?

What’s wrong with Century? I mean this sincerely. Since I was born in the late 60’s this town has never change. How is it so mismanaged? Other than a new coat of paint to make it more appealing to tourists like a 3rd world country, it has never changed. The people of Century should band together and file a class action lawsuit just for everything this town has put them through. It’s like Silent Hill without the underground fires… at least we don’t think it has that, it just might though!
