If rehabilitation was effective we would not be reading about these offenders so often. Those in charge of judicial system should discourage criminal behavior with sentences severe enough to discourage crimes. The sympathetic bleeding hearts should focus their attention more on the victims than the criminals and put the ones harming children away for a long enough time that anyone even thinking of an improper interaction with a child will break out in a sweat.
