All types of vehicles speed through here: cars, trucks, school buses, log trucks, garbage trucks, and any other vehicle you can name. The speed posting is 55 mph, but they are going anywhere from 60 to 80 mph. There is a motorcycle that goes at least 90 mph! Hope they patrol this area. I have had two in 40 years and both times, I wasn't consciously speeding. I was not paying attention to how fast I was going. If this is truly about safety, post officers in conspicuous positions and let them be seen. That will keep folks on their toes. Hiding out and "playing gotcha" is nothing more than collecting on taxes (they have to make up the forthcoming shortfall from the soon-to-be-passed repeal property tax law somehow, am I right?).
