@Brian: PCI HAS bailed this hospital out before. Yet here they are again not doing any better. If ACH would have.stayed with Mobile Infirmary they probably would not be in this pickle. North Baldwin Hospital in Bayminette is wonderful and is an idea of what Atmore hospital could have been. Honestly I would travel thirty minutes over to NB way before only 5 minutes to ACH any day. We need a good steady medical unit here and for many years that has not been the case.

One big mistake was making hospitals for profit in the 1970s then pushing to be money makers not health care providers. The notion one group or another should bail it out when ownership groups are sucking it dry isn’t a solution.
