Concerned citizen. The TPO needs to make a straight shot from I65 down Alabama 21 to FL 87 while it’s not built up yet. Crossover Berry Hill Road, Quintette to FL SR 95 (highway 29)

This is great, slow traffic down. The speed limit in places is 30MPH. Put a red light at 4A by the dollar store.

Divert traffic onto the newly paved 4A.

Great job by the ones who worked to make it happen.

Perhaps you missed the part where the article states that there will be buttons for pedestrians to push that activate flashing red lights that require traffic to stop.

@Concerned Citizen. Underground tunnel wouldn’t work. Within a day it would be full of trash and people beaten and robbed by the rats. Now an expressway from I65 to I10/110 would be great. Bypassing century and all the lights and traffic on 29 would speed things up. And take some of the congestion of of 29.

So thankful to see this finally happening. As someone who advocated for these safety measures, it’s a relief to know that we will soon have a safer way to cross Highway 29. These two new crosswalks are a critical step in preventing more heartbreak.

This is so stupid, how about put a pedestrian bridge or some type of underground tunnel so they can cross. When people have to go through Century all they’re trying to do is get out of it a quickly as possible. Now you’ll have to stop and wait on someone living off of our tax dollars to cross the road. There need to be an express way/Interstate that runs from I-65 in Flomaton all the way to I-10 in Pensacola, no red lights, no pedestrians, and a 75mph straight shot.
