Hiv criminal statutes have been repealed all across the country to make the laws consistent with contemporary science. The Florida legislature has failed to modernize their statute, despite bi-partisan support for such action. Sadly, every hiv+ person in Florida is one disgruntled ex-partner away from prosecution.
