I agree with AJ.. These do happen occasionally in this area and it absolutely rattles windows..But none as powerful or impressive as the one from last night!..

There was a similar boom just about a week ago. But not nearly as powerful.That one did shake the ground under my feet and my husband was at another location more than a mile away that day, and heard and felt that boom..The one last night was concerning. As it was the single most powerful BOOM that I have ever witnessed.! It rattled the seat I was sitting in , in my truck. It rattled the walls in the shop! I was on Nokomis rd and friends of mine more than 5 miles away off hwy 31 felt it..That was no bonfire explosion. Idc what kind of fuel they used.!!

This has occurred several times in the same area over the last few years. It literally shakes the house. I can say from experience that this is NOT gasoline lighting a fire.

Honestly, I didn’t hear this one, but heard two others last week. I always chalk it up as a North Florida/South Alabama earthquake, testing at Eglin AFB, something at the Paper Mill or a sonic boom from one our sounds of Freedom.

Im up off Church st in Atmore and heard it. My daughter is off Circle rd in Walnut hill and she said it shook her windows. Too much fuel? What kind of fuel did they use, rocket?
Glad no one was hurt.

We live more than a mile away from that location and it rattled our windows and doors hard and shook our house! I think ‘too much fuel’ is the understatement of the year.
