You dont know the facts on farming and agriculture. When they built their houses there was no intent to plow or raise farm animals in the front yard
Why so many of those houses had small front yards.I know,my 91 year old farm house(brick) is less than 40′ from center of our very busy speedway since repaving.
Yes,I was told rumble sticks would be put down. NAH!

It is doubtful Hwy 97 will ever be 4-laned in its present alignment. A new parallel highway would need to be constructed to avoid taking out houses, businesses, and churches.

Disappointingly, no rumble strip is being installed on the center line (as is being reported). More head-on collisions to come?

How about this FDOT!…. FINISH ONE PROJECT!…. Just one! You use the same contractor for near all!!!!
Finish one( rapidly) then move to the next!

I know you are in nowhere town ( Chipley) but at least make an effort to care!

FDOT REALLY HAS NO CLUE!

Should have built further off that logging road. It will happen within ten years, bet on it. I remember when they 4 laned 29… people were upset then as well.

We have several homes on 97 that are fairly close to the road. If they put in a four lane, we will be one of those families that will lose their homes. Some of these homes were here when 97 was just an old logging road. I’m not looking forward to it at all.

So we will lose our home so a bunch of people can go gamble their money awa6 in Atmore. Doesn’t seem right

Instead of resurfacing, they need to go ahead and four lane the highway so it will be able to handle all of the growth going on in the North end of the county!
