I too wondered why they didn't add a shoulder or I call it a bike lane to the road eat off 11 mile creek bridge.. they have it on the west side of the bridge. You would think the project engineer would see this and add it to the scope. It couldn't be that much more while they are already paying $875,000 resurfacing the road. I sent an email to the County Commissioner Steven Barry asking about this but never got a response. I'll just be here holding my breath.

I agree with the timing of lights. I am a dump truck driver and I see all day every day how the timing of light are difficult. I think that the ones who plan the timing of those lights dont have to travel those areas because if they did it would be completely different. Also as far as the lines go, I travel well line rd every day and the west side of well line rd close to hwy 29 right there by the apartments and the pumps have no lines anymore and every night when I come through there someone hits me with their bright led headlights and I can no longer see the road and have ran off of it several times just not to hit them and ended up in the grass/ditch and I have heard my under carriage grinding the pavement more then once. They really need to repaint those lines. The eas end of well line rd got repaved several years ago and it has new lines but not there. When our vehicles get torn up is the county going to pay for repairs??? I dont think so.

@Jason: They NEED to fix that light at Kingsfield/HWY 29, I've had to sit for 15 minutes just to go straight, and I've seen times where nobody gets through at all in one cycle, especially if there is multiple busses.

Sadly, that would be too logical and beneficial for our corrupt county commissioners and developers to even consider.

I read where Australia has started using glow in the dark paint, recharged each day by the sun, to mark their road stripes making it easier to see at night and especially when it rains. Something we need here in the US.

This was a huge improvement for those who travel Kingsfield Rd. I am happy that drivers can now see the delineation lines marking the road edges during the nighttime hours - especially when it’s raining. I can’t edit for the project to improve the area at the railroad tracks.

It’s too bad the project didn’t include a paved shoulder like what’s included between the 11-mile creek bridge and Hwy 297a.

Maybe the next project will adjust the timing on the eastbound signal so more than 3 or 4 cars can make it through each cycle during the hours of 3pm and 6pm. It’s horribly difficult to turn left at the light between 3pm and 6pm which prevents eastbound thru-traffic from crossing Hwy 29. It’s not uncommon for eastbound drivers to sit through 3 or 4 cycles of the light on most days.
