@Voices there are programs out there for the people addicted to opioids. Lakeview has a detox program and Roads to Recovery. Escambia County EMS CORE program will assess, medicate and help get people into a provider at Community Health Northwest Florida. The CORE program is free for the EMS side. Their number is (850)477-HELP. Santa Rosa has a CORE program also (850)905-8600. These programs are not funded by taxes but “big pharma” opioid settlement.

I know commenters will celebrate the conviction.

But what about the demand-side of this problem.

What is being done to reduce the market of consumption for this stuff? It cannot just simply be, “Just say no”, or “It’s dangerous.”
