District 1 Commissioner Stroberger either doesn’t know how far north his district goes, or he doesn’t care. Spare me the “it’s a state road” whine. Does that mean the county should ignore it? Forget the citizens there? Oh, make the individual take it up with the “TPO”. Right that’s why we elect commissioners, so we can do it ourselves. Sheesh. HOW ABOUT THE COMMISSIONERS TAKE IT UP WITH THE STATE? District 1 Commish, bring it to the board. Board, bring it to the State. Or is that too hard? “Time for change” right Commissioner Stroberger?

@me when you get off of I-10 @ the pine forest rd exit it is a no right on red there, the problem is that people dont obey traffic laws and they make a right on red there anyways. I drive a dump truck working the construction area on I-10 in that area and I see it all day long as I am exiting off of that ramp.

Roads like Pine Forest Road between I-10 and Nine Mile Road are owned by the State of Florida through FDOT, not Escambia County. PFR is State Road 297 in that area.

Construction projects there would be prioritized through the Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) a the Emerald Coast Regional Council.

Your concerns about PFR bottleneck should be expressed to the TPO.

Yes what about district 1. I agree but it's wild lake blvd that needs to be widened an paved. It's a race track on this road. So many trailers going off the road because the roads not wide enough but the county allowed trailer parks. The traffic off the road is utterly ridiculous. Something needs to be done.

@Reading Comp
Show and prove to me our cbc even pushed the state to redo that bottle neck road.
Like to see each member sit N of WaWa and watch cars using the middle turning lane for a road!!!
Like hiway 97 to Atmore, I avoid these two

Looks like District 1 got the short end of the stick again! Agree with Harold!
There is also a totally forgotten road. Sharon Lane - runs between Detroit Blvd & the light on Pine Forest at the WaWa, People cut through there now to avoid trying to pull out the very dangerous intersect of Detroit & Pine Forest close to the I-10 exit. Sharon Lane has 3 very blind curves & desperately needs resurfacing & lining!
Each county commissioner should take a drive down this Forgotten Road! Also for safety reasons it would help if the state would make the exit off I-10 there on Pine Forest a “NO RIGHT ON RED”’ just like it is on I-110 at Cervantes!!
