I have 15 years of experience with ECUA during their most prolific lift station rehabilitation projects. In my opinion, the standards that ECUA set for lift stations is very cost effective for long term reliability and maintenance.
In these pictures, I see some mistakes in the construction of this lift station that ECUA "engineered out".
Two major things I see are that the control panel and generator appear too close to the wet well. Over time, sewer gasses will corrode anything and everything that is not stainless steel or aluminum, including the components inside the panel.
Any local contractor bidding on a lift station job for ECUA is provided a copy of the plans. They're easy to obtain and were dang near the industry standard in our region during my time there. I knew of other municipalities in NW Florida who sought to also conform to ECUA's standards.
