My concern is how to eliminate all the reckless driving by those who already passed the test!

In addition, what about requiring an IQ test? I believe it is much more important than the ability to read a few signs in English. All who have IQ below, say 90% fail the test and don’t get the privilege to drive.

Make sure those who administer the test speak a regular standard English, rather than the LA (Low Alabama) version of it.

English is fine to immigrants filing fraudulent documents to fleece the American taxpayers ! They can read English just great on that American dollar . Get baby wipes in another state of your choice .

Actually you do need to know English to become a citizen. I’ve been teaching citizenship classes as a volunteer for several years and have helped dozens of immigrants become citizens. You must be able to read, write, and speak English along with knowing tge answers to 120 questions about America’s history and Constitution. You are not allowed to have an interpreter and must be able to demonstrate the ability to dialogue in English.

The United States does not have a national language. Yes, English is most popular, but it is not required to live here or be a citizen. Government information is published in about ten languages. Interpreters are available. If a person learns the road signs, which is not hard and a few basic words they should be allowed to take the test in any language.
