Our LEO's put their lives on the line every day they put on that uniform. Seems like our Judges would protect them in one way or the other. Many do not as we are seeing this all over the US now. Perhaps the law needs to change requiring a conviction of this charge be tacked on the end of other sentences and NOT allow to run concurrently. As it stands now, if this person is convicted of Domestic Battery and Possessions of a Firearm/Ammunition, he will likely receive the same amount of time in Prison as if he was only convicted of Domestic Battery by itself.
