Where are the county commissioners in this ? Oh, yes they want all this growth but clueless about what it takes to get there. Duh!!! Or will this be fratricidal projects? Resurfacing in an ongoing construction zone? They going to resurface the temporary lanes? What really needed reworked was the I10 - Pine Forest interchange. These boondoggles begin with a lack of local political leadership. They can have a voice in what needs to get done and input on roadwork priorities with the state, but they’re too worried about where to drop the next housing development or who’s developing the old Beulah OLF. It’s easier to shrug their shoulders and say they’re helpless than to actually work for their constituents. This project plus Exit 5 (2028) interchange work plus Exit 10 interchange work (2030) all happening at the same time. And it seems to take forever to get any of it done.
