I agree with Susie; he wanted to shoot those dogs. With the attitude that kid has, it is only be a matter of time until he becomes upset with some person and rationalizes shooting them.
@Shiela M. – there is no indication that these dogs behaved in any way like you described with your experience . Unfortunately, some people feel that they have to turn their dogs into vicious animals because in some way they think that reflects on their own “toughness”. It isn’t the breed, it’s the owners. We have an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier that is the sweetest most well-behaved dog I have ever owned, and my experience has been that those dogs thay are grouped into the Pitbull family are some of the most intelligent, loyal, and well-behaved of any dogs. I’m sorry about the experience that you had with the dog that belonged to someone who didn’t have the responsibility to raise them properly.

I had a neighbor that refused to contain there pit bull. He was awful..mailman would not even deliver because it would attack the truck. I put sign in my yard saying N o dogs. Neighbor started off to me that the dogs can’t read.. I told him WELL YOU CAN.. the owner had cancer and passed away..her boyfriend was going to relocate the dog but the family ran him off and kept the dog. It had already mangled one of my cats that was actually in labor..I had to put her down because her hip was broken and breast completely exploded out of her body.
I fully intended to kill that dog..not my fault they would do nothing to contain the dog..not the dogs fault..the owners responsibility. Thankfully my cats were all taken to a safer place to live and the people that moved in with the family next door actually took on the responsibility and built a sturdy fence.
Dangerous animals should not be allowed to just roam.

This kid was determined to kill those dogs. How horrible. Fear had nothing to do with it. He literally stalked the dogs! I hope the Judge finds the Animal cruelty charge guilty and makes him pay for the Vet bill. He seriously needs a mental health evaluation. What would he do to a human? Glad Tank recovered.
