Amen to Bill T’s comment. Here you have a vacant business that has been there over fifty years. The unelected bureaucrat, most likely never been to Molina except to respond to a complaint. County hires a magistrate to do their bidding or they can find a new job. He or she issues daily fines of hundreds of dollars because the have the power of the state. Unless you are a big corporation( ala Walmart, for instance with a bevy of lawyers) locals can’t fight the cease and desist orders given by an unelected magistrate. BTW, when have you ever heard of a magistrate placing a fine on a Walmart? Here, just to improve an aged building out in the country, one has to fight unelected bureaucrats to improve their property. Ridiculous! The elected county commissioners want to stay above the fray and let their appointed folks do the dirty work.

Careful about letting these zoning changes go thru it seems like a little detail but it could have huge repercussions in the future. Pensacola if full and it’s starting to follow right down hwy 29.

Well I for one rather see areas not allowed to build. THere are a lot of empty and run down areas that need refurbishment rather than whole new builds.
I like what they did to that store and building. They fixed up and made better without having to clear cut and put in a new metal building that has ZERO SOUL.
The red tape about cleaning up the land around is terrible. That trailer was and is a eye sore. Green use of property and not allow pavement over every inch is also good.
