There will be two entrances to this establishment, both which will be blocking traffic from neighborhoods behind. If traffic continues at this location the way it does across the street, the traffic coming in at at the light entrance will block up all traffic trying to get out onto nine mile road. Any traffic wanting to turn onto Hillview will be blocked by any traffic tring to enter from the nine mile entrance.
People who generally come out to that light to go to nine mile and the stores will now be subjected to going the opposite way on Hillview and going ot to University Dr.
This move is not fair to those who live in the neighborhoods behind.
I would like to know when the next public hearing is going to be held!

Not intending to diminish people's concerns about traffic; it seems to me there's a ready solution to the traffic problems that come with many Chic-fil-A locations; other fast-food chains could copy the business model of hiring caring people and treating their employees and customers the way Chic-fil-A does.
I know it isn't cheap and easy to do what Chic-fil-A does but imagine the difference in business that would come if people started bragging about the excellent conditions and service they got at Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's and the like. Maybe then, the traffic would be spread amongst multiple locations and less of a Chic-fil-A problem. And how many business owners/managers look at Chic-fil-A and think, man I wish I had their problems?
    Wow, that would be interesting.

I live on Plainfield and this is really going to suck with all this extra traffic at the light. I miss my peaceful neighborhood.

to Hmmm
The new location will have a traffic light so I'm not sure what you mean...

to JJ
I am pretty sure the tanks came out shortly after the Dodge's closed. If not, they dug a GIANT hole for no reason.

State law says there should be a BOND paid to remove the tanks when they 1st go in the ground. Its to keep from having a ECO problem later with no money to move them.

So instead of making a new location on the growing west end of 9-Mile in the I-10 and Beulah area (Navy Federal, Outlying Field, Nature Trail, Publix, McD, etc), Chick-Fil-A decided to make a new building across the street from their existing place. I would like to see them come west because there is a lot of growth in the north Beulah area. Maybe someday.
