Feeling compassion for a person is fine but this person broke the law. There are reasons society has laws otherwise chaos reigns. We’ve all seen what happens when Judges slap criminals on the wrist & let them go only to break the law again. Actions have consequences. She chose to rob a bank, it’s a Federal crime. The Courts will decide if she’s mentally impaired & treat her accordingly. If she’s mentally fit, go to jail.

It seems some of the commentators are nearly suggesting that it’s okay to rob banks.

I feel for this woman. My first thought was loss/lag time of SNAP benefits might drive a person to this.

But to hint that “banks are bad therefore robbing them is okay in some circumstances” could apply to any place. Example: Robbing my nextdoor neighbor is okay. Lifting tools at the hardware store or food at the grocery store is okay. It endangers everyone around!

Robbery is not a solution to meet needs.

I can’t believe the comments…. People are feeling bad for this women ? She should go to jail and sit there. Thankfully she didn’t have a weapon , and what if she did ? Who knows if she will the next time. Stop feeling bad for criminals. Instead of getting a job like a normal person, she wanted a free handout.

This is just sad. At first read it’s like WTH?? But in all actuality it’s just sad. A 63 yr old woman shouldn’t even be thinking of doing this. The state of our world is what drove her to do this.

I think that this is so sad times are hard for so many people right now all over the United States and I hold the Government accountable for this. this woman may not have had food to eat, or her utilities could be shut off we don’t know what drove her to do this it seems like desperation. But hopefully the Juge will go lenient on her because she wasn’t even prepared for what she was doing, and she had no weapon. we should all keep her in Prayer we don’t know what her situation was, but it CLEARLY wasn’t to harm or hurt no one!

People want to share in the holidays with their loved ones so bad. Not all have the money to do so and it causes them to do things they would never do otherwise. I feel bad for this lady. Hope those who know her will help her out and not judge her.
