Pretty sad indictment of the richest country on the planet and we don’t provide universal healthcare to every citizen.

I applaud the generousity of the Transformation Church congregation.

I would assume the majority of these people did not have medical insurance and the medical providers charged their standard cash rate. Why are they willing to sell the debt for pennies on the dollar instead of just charging “pennies on the dollar” to begin with?

This is a good thing, but also speaks volumes about the abysmal state of healthcare in this country. Over 4000 people in Escambia county alone were drowning in medical debt. Now extrapolate that across the entire US. Those numbers will skyrocket in 2026.

This is a true act of kindness and real faith . If every church , temple ,synagogue, mosque would follow their example it would reinforce their members and society to believe in the Gods . In this times with so many communities divided , violence , economic hardship , and political differences acts of kindness by those who can afford it would bring in turn a more united front based on religion , peace , prosperity and the fundamentals for a better life . Thank you living and believing by example.
