i have genuinely NEVER had a good experience at jay hospital, so i’m not surprised that something like this is happening here

Unfortunately, this seems to be a too-common trend in the medical field. There are many great healthcare workers out there, some I consider to be my own family, but there are many individuals that I shudder to think of being in charge of people who are incapacitated.

I get it, it’s a difficult profession and folks tend to develop dark humor to cope with these positions… But this is so, so wrong. This is ONLY what they were CAUGHT doing. There’s no telling what else goes on while patients are unaware.

Dear, not surprising as a resident of Jay, I do not think this should reflect all residents or hospital staff. Jay hospital is a blessing for many. Jay ER has saved many lives. Our small hometown hospital makes it possible for people to be cared for and be close to loved ones. The bad choice of a few should not reflect on many good nurses, CNA staff and doctors at Jay Hospital.

Make no mistake, what happened is terrible and should be addressed. But let’s not forget the decades this little hospital has served the tri county area. The accolades given for superior personalized treatment over the years. My mother was in Jay during that same time and went to heaven. Let me tell you no pictures were taken of her. We received attention and care that words cannot express. My family will always be grateful for that hospital and the employees who serve. So when you demand it be closed think about it truly not being there for your next emergency. They saved me last year when I was having a stroke and didn’t know it. They’re quick diagnosis and intervention in the ER changed my outcome favorably. If I had gone to the big hospitals time would not have been on my side. The folks this terrible thing has happened to will be compensated. The folks responsible will be prosecuted and have already been fired. Lessons will be learned and life will go on. Jay Hospital will continue to exist and I thank the good Lord for it.

In the far past, a camera was obvious and a person carrying one as a employee at a Hospital would be questioned as of why they had one at work but now everyone has one with them as their personal phone. The decision was solely due to the immorality of the persons that decided to do the act in the first place and had nothing to do with the hospital but the Hospital will recieve the full responsibility of the legal system for the violation. I think the majority of the punishment should be directed at the individuals responsible for the pictures in the first place. I would like to see some jail time and even some prison time given to the employees. Exposing them publicly would bring much discrace and would be a good start.

Ok, this is terrible and will somewhat be made right through these actions. But it can never be undone.

But we certainly shouldn’t judge all of the hospital employees by this incident much less the citizens of Jay.

Determine the responsible partys and hold them accountable.

This is so heartbreaking to know that healthcare workers; whose sole purpose is to care for patients, would allow patients under medication to be treated this way. What is wrong with the moral fiber of people today? We are living in a sad world when you cannot trust the people who are supposed to treat and take care of people when they’re in their most vulnerable state. Everyone involved in this should lose their jobs; even those who tried to sweep this under the rug for months.

Why couldn’t the Zarzaur Law Firm get a subpoena to have photos and IP addresses released to the Sheriffs office as part of the investigation? Snapchat has all of that information to each person’s smartphones to get a conviction(s). Also, whoever is in charge of that facility should resign immediately for not providing a safe facility and upholding HIPPA Privacy standards!

That is disgusting!!!!! I hope the victims get millions! Photos of the employees that took and shared these photos should be plastered in the newspaper, news sites and social media. We would like to know who they are. Such professionalism!!!
