Don’t put all the blame on ECUA. If the land fill rates go up, ECUA has no choice but to pass some of that cost on to consumers. If you don’t like want ECUA charges, take your trash and special pickup junk to the landfill yourself.

Have any of you ever watched a Board or budget meeting? Do you have any idea how much construction costs increased, County tipping fees increased, power costs increased, material and equipment cost increased, costs for compliance with increasing regulations, insurance costs, and not to mention competing with employment opportunities elsewhere and living costs? You get the employees you pay for. All of you want Grade A service for Grade C pay.

All of you complaining should run for the Board because apparently you know better…when you actually don’t know jack about the utility because you don’t want to bore yourself with the details. How about taking the time to learn, now there’s a novel idea. But no, keep on spewing the false information. Cash cow??..yeah right, do YOU know how much it costs to run a utility? Do you know how much it costs to replace old pipes? The replacement is not keeping up with the age just like infrastructure elsewhere in the US….they have said this multiple times. But let’s kick the can down the road to make our kids pay for it because another dollar or two now keeps us from buying that 1 extra candy bar per month.

People need to remember thus when election time comes. These board members raise rates every year. The service gets worse but rates get higher. We need to elect people that will manage ecua ’s budget and appoint a director who can manage tge budget.

so just in beulah alone massive residents have been added to the ecua coffers in my opinion large subdivions with no long travel expense what a cash cow imo but need an increase please wish for explantion. sorry fpl also
