My wife and I, driving thru South Dakota on a wonderful vacation, returned home to find a mail with GREAT set of pictures of our hair, flying in the wind, enjoying our convertible, along with a citation for $125.

I guarantee you, a device like this on CR 97 will slow these people down. It may take a week or so, given how slow the mail is here.

Maybe they should install stop lights every few hundred yards on that road since people around here think it’s the answer to all accidents automotive related.

@Tom. Seems you stirred up a hornets nest with all the Karen’s. Doesn’t matter if there was a hypothetical deer, medical emergency, the tooth fairy, or “the sun was in my eyes”. It’s still the fault of the driver/ operator of the vehicle. NOT laying blame here for all the finger pointers. Just stating facts.

No, the road did not just move by itself and cause this crash. It was a MEDICAL ISSUE!
Sad that people feel they need to say senseless things when they don’t know the whole story.
Thanking our God that my two precious family members were not hurt more seriously and are going to be OK. Certainly could have been much worse.

If all the Hwy 97 crashes and accidents are solely because of people, does that mean distracted, careless drivers will eliminate themselves? Or could there possibly be other contributing factors? Hmmm…

All of these accidents will cause drivers to be even more careful. It only takes a few seconds to end up out of control.

I hope this young girl is ok and the child !!! Unfortunately driving too fast or too slow is dangerous !! Sometimes it just can’t be helped that’s way they call it an accident!! Unfortunately in today’s driving world ya got to pay very close attention to everything while driving

@tom I hear you and pretty much agree though the girl might have had a medical emergency. I would rather this be the case than deliberate speeding with her baby in the car. I guess we’ll see and so will many, many others. Glad that baby was not injured. I do hope the mother is ok. Slowing down can make a difference in just about any situation.
