Why do they have to get a permit from the state it has been cleaned out several times before with a front end loader far as I know had nobody ever pulled a permit. Just went down there and done it. No problem. How about tearing this landing out and fixing us a good one like the ones they build on the south end of the county. It’s a shame we pay taxes and can’t even unload your boat to Go fishing.

That pesky river keeps going up and down and shifting courses. At least at Bluff Springs we can walk across it to the nearby Santa Rosa County sandbar.

Aubrey, Have you ever seen the Bluff Springs landing that was abandoned by the County ?

This ain’t the first time, it happens all the time when the river comes up and down. Why is it that we got the only boat landing in Escambia county that’s sanded in. There’s none on the south end that’s built like this.The landing should have been pointing down river to where it would never sand in. I think the solution would be to put a rock jetty in so when the river gets up the rock jetty will keep the sand washed out. and we wouldn’t have this problem.

We appreciate their efforts but you still gotta push your boat off the trailer and physical walk/float ya boat about 60 yards down in order to get into deep enough water to utilize the motor. It’s only 8″ to a ft deep where you have to cross into deeper water below the ramp.
