@Rosney while they were trying to update their info both the online waiting list registration and the website you mentioned was also down and gave them a message that they had to go to the DMV in person. (I was on the phone with them as I was typing this response.)

Some of us remember the days of the separate driver’s license office. Bring that back! The tag office should only be for tags and titles. No matter the location….the current system does not flow smoothly.

I had to get my conceal carry updated. I got on the website, hit Join the Line and made my appointment for two days later. I received an email for the confirmation and a link for my appointment. On the day of the appointment I drove to the place in Molino and arrived 8 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Once in the parking lot I pulled up the link and hit I Am Here. I went inside and sat down and in 5 minutes they called my name. It took 5 minutes to complete and I was finished and left. I know it might not be the same for everyone but it worked good for me.

Everyone is saying when you make an appointment it’s 3 to 4 months in advanced. That’s baloney!

I assume they’ve switched over to an appointment system, which I would prefer over their “Join the Line”. I will say, the staff at Molino are awesome. People can be…complicated, and they are very good helping them.

Looks like a lot of agreement that the current situation is bad and expectations are that appointment only will be worse.
Yes plenty of people have trouble making online appointments, thus they don’t use the online services either.
I agree it’s time for another office, possibly on 9mile. Although i live in the Century area, the mobile unit has been very helpful there.

Even though there are complaints the Employees at every location have always been very helpful in assisting me.

Please let your friend know that there is a website to upload your DOT medical card and avoid the DMV. The website also eliminates the fee and the hassle of an appointment through the DMV. Another piece of advice is to not rely on the DMV for notifications of other upcoming renewals, such as a hazmat endorsement.

I have a friend who had to get their DOT physical for their CDL’s. Once they got the certificate they had to make an appointment to take it to the DMV. It took my friend several days to make the appointment as the appointment setting website was down. Then it took 24-48 hours to update the system. Once the paperwork was turned in and the new DOT physical expiration date was entered it should have shown the new date in my opinion. System is messed up. Just another reason not to move to Escambia County Florida.

Reopening the Century office shouldn’t be that big of a problem, the building is still there and being use at times. The sheriff’s office is using part of it, but they were there before the county closed the tag office and moved to Molino. The county is not interested in being convenient to the citizens, just getting their money. I agree with Really, IT’S TIME TO VOTE THEM OUT!!!
