We could use a new facility. Now if everyone is onboard with paying a ton of money for one. Probably going to come up with some new money grab, err tax to fund it, that will never expire.

Maybe the venue is not the problem? For almost 30 years ice hockey has been successful with record crowds without embellishing the numbers. There was a time when bands began their tours at the Pensacola Civic center. Dinosaur shows, monster trucks, dirt bikes, and the Disney ice shows. Does the building need upgrades? Definitely. Will a new building attract entertainment? No. Properly promoting the venue will bring various entertaines and acts, start with a management company that works to make it succeed, then consider a new building.

Dont expect anything for 20 years. Just look at that technology park next to it! That was created in 2004 to become a tech hub and its still grass. At some point the dinosaurs at city council should have thought, maybe we should allow other developments. But nope! Dont get me started on the absurd height restrictions the City has. Than you wonder why it can’t get developers to build anything meaningful. Just dinosaurs running everything is the problem!

Somethings wrong when we have to go East (Gulfarium, Big Kahunas, etc.) and West (Mobile, Biloxi, Owa, etc.) to enjoy family entertainment. We need a facility that will draw BIG names to come into Pensacola. Why do city officials allow everything to go to other areas instead of allowing Pensacola house these facilities?

Tear it down and build something people will enjoy going to.. It is so outdated it is embarrassing and I have watched it turn old so I get an opinion.

Hopefully they figure something out soon ! Pensacola is outdated because the people here don’t want change, and that’s why everything good is being built in Mobile. Rebuilding a new arena would be ideal but the city would never do it.
