Actually the charter states that it is the president of the council’s job to set the agenda and it’s basically not to be delegated.

The reason the council meets in the sunshine is to vote.
The mayor is not a voting member. So really he doesn’t have to be there, neither does the public. We have a representative government for a reason.

In the past the clerk and mayor set the agenda contrary to the charter. They may still be doing that. I’m glad at least one council member has requested more information for edification for oversite over town finances.

That’s their job.

I’ve only met the mayor one time. He wasnt even mayor then. I was at the park and a truck driver was lost, asking for directions. Im not from century, so I couldn’t figure out where the Spanish speaking guy wanted to go. Ben saw what was going on and came over. He took probably 30 minutes away from his family to help that guy. Going so far as to calling the company, asking questions about locations for delivery, etc. I had no clue who the mayor was lol. Point is, that man seems like he’d help anyone, anywhere or any time. Give him a break. He’s got a lot to fix. I don’t know his politics either.

If I can respond Mr. Mayor I’m glad to see that you are available. I did not consider my comment as trash talking it was more of my dry humor. Guess you just have to be around me in person to know that also. But I’lll let you be “B”. See just like that. Nothing more nothing less and nothing to be sensitive about. OK.

As far as the other I have no interest in running for the seat, but do expect those who hold the seat to actually “be in the seat” when it’s time for everyone to meet. That’s all. I actually hope the candidate that does run has thick skin and a true concern for the citizens of the town.

Just know that we’re rooting for the whole town to succeed and with you being the current mayor that means we’re rooting for you too. Can’t wait to see you at those meetings “B”!!

I’m right here, “Where O where”, my door is open at Town Hall and I live at 1 E Hecker Rd, Century, Fl. Need to talk, let’s….any ideas for the Town, or would you like to run for the Council Seat that is up for qualifying? Need more support from the community…not trash talking.

This actually is not a bad idea and I hope no one objects to this request. I have another question though, Where is the mayor.? Better yet where has Ben-Been? We have seen him only one time I believe since his meeting with Michelle Saleszman. Can somebody tell me that?.
