It is not being built for the folks in Buelah. This liquor store is being built for the fine people of Alabama who live within reasonable distance of the State Line. Alabama imposes an excise tax of $22.87 on a bottle of 80 proof spirits while Florida only imposes $6.50. Excise taxes on beer and wine are about the same.
