Really Eric? Watch our mouths? For what? Speaking truth? Come on, this guy is dangerous. Look at his history Eric!! He’s dangerous. Maybe the nephews you’re speaking of are better off without him & his dangerous activities, his aggression, his out of control behavior!! Yes he’s human, but a dangerous human, a rapist, who has no regard for anyone in his path.
Eric, have you always stood so firm & obligated yourself as a “protector” of your nephews? Because if you were so concerned about your “nephews” then You, along with OTHER family members should have stepped up way before now with any concern for your nephews and got baby daddy some much needed help with his MANY problems. I get that people are trying to show grace and pray for change—nothing wrong with that. But let’s not pretend a tough background is a free pass to hurt people. I say that as someone who didn’t exactly have the easiest start in life either. Trust me, I’ve seen struggle up close… still never managed to become a felon.

We all have choices. Some folks use their pain to grow. Others use it as an excuse. At the end of the day, actions have consequences—prayers don’t erase that. Hopefully he does change while doing his time, but let’s not twist a rough past into a reason to look the other way.

@tara … he hasn’t has the best of circumstances? Those are excuses. My best friend was raised by a crackhead head mom and a dad in prison. He joined the army with me and went to law school. Once you turn 18, the choices you make are yours and not based on “circumstances”. He makes choices every day to use meth.

@Eric Hallford … what do you mean, watch our mouths? We all are entitled to our opinions. That doesn’t change because he’s your family. But as family, you can help by using the marchman act. Now, hopefully the state will give him a place to stay for the next 25+ years so Those around him can be safe.

Sadly, you may be correct. I was just pointing out that I know a little about his background and i am sorry for what has happened. I believe in the punishment fitting the crime. No one is too lost for Jesus though. So while he’s in prison for this offense rightfully, I’ll pray that he will have a change inside that only God can orchestrate.

He is a violent felony and sex offender. He should be under the prison. It’s past time these prosecutors and judges start giving harsher sentences. Some people, like this guy, can’t be rehabilitated.

Bystander, I have known him for years and while I do not defend anything that he did or has done, I will just say that he’s not had the best circumstances in life either. The charge that he had before was a bit questionable if you knew the background. No excuses because so many people can rise above their circumstances. Everyone can’t though for their own personal reasons, absence of good role models etc. but I am sorry for him and for his family and I will continue to pray for them all. Sometimes there is more to know about a person than just what you read. He does need to be punished for this absolutely and to the full extent of the law.
