I’ve been there myself. My dogs are part of my family. Sometimes you just can’t pull the trigger. Yes yes she should have taken care of her friend. What happened to innocent until proven guilty
A $100,000 bond is just punitive unless you need to keep the person away from others because they’re a threat.

This is a sad story for Prissy and for Ms Miler. Poor Prissy suffered physically for injuries that could easily have been prevented with proper care. Ms Miller is obviously suffering from some major stress (according to the article) and needs therapy.

100K bond for someone who clearly is going through some mental stuff, when drug dealers get off with a couple grand and are out in an hour, pure insanity. She should absolutely not own another animal with her life how it is but everyone forgets about intent, this lady did not set out to harm this dog. Intent =1000000 bond

@ Native, I agree! It is so sad how we immediately sling mud when we have absolutely no idea what was going on in this woman’s life that could have caused all this to spiral. I have been at the lowest of lows at a point in my life through no fault of my own. When that happens, things spiral quickly. I don’t know any details other than what happened to the poor dog. It’s over for the dog, thankfully she’s not suffering any longer. I would like to let Ms. Miller know that whatever is going on in your life, whatever you have done or been through Jesus is there to forgive and help you. Please let Him. If you are not saved, I pray you would accept His free gift of salvation. He can turn your life around!

She’s obviously guilty of purposely abusing her dog and being a threat to her neighbors. 100,000 bond is needed to keep us safe.

I’m wondering what kind of filth this person lives in that makes it ok for her dog to suffer and die in it. This is beyond sad for the pup. No pet deserves this. She needs serious mental health care or maybe a cage at Animal Control since she’s more of an animal than they are.

This seems a little extreme. Yes, the poor dog was in bad shape, but it sounds like this person was having difficulty accepting the loss of her pet. Is that worth an arrest and $100k bond? Sounds like the vet office was over eager.
