A simpler solution would be a traffic light at E Quintette & 95A (with logging & cement trucks & Circle K a light is warranted). Then a “straightening” of W Quintette to 95A 200 yards north (no light here). This would give loggers easier turnability & prevent southbound cars from craining their neck to turn south on 95A -L

I still contend that this a bandage approach, that if you don’t do something soon with 95A you are wasting money. With all the proposed developments, many of which will come to fruition, traffic will be much worse. The bottleneck at Jim Allen will worsen and the only one way out condition for those living on the wrong side of CSX tracks will be a nightmare. Better to plan now than to procrastinate. Schools, Emergency services, Sewer, Water, Elect service improvements should in planning stages. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to build a couple of helicopter landing pads around Williams Ditch and Mckenzie for emergency services. A second road out from that area is warranted too.

In response to “anon” and others about their round about suggestion. Apparently you have never been anywhere near this intersection. I’ve lived in the area my entire life, Let me enlighten you folks. There’s So much traffic yes BUT not just cars we are talking about huge big cement trucks, gravel trucks and long , loaded down log trucks. It would take a lot more than a little roundabout for these work trucks to maneuver. We know how to drive up here in the north end of the county and we know the problems with the road/intersection.

Traffic circles seem to work fine in Pensacola. And Baldwin County. And in Mobile.

I guess people here would rather sit still at a $120,000 traffic light than to keep moving through at a steady pace.

No, a traffic circle wouldn’t work in this scenario.

It’s not a European problem–they don’t work here because drivers here have no clue how to operate a motor vehicle in general, much less in something that requires paying attention and courtesy.

What is taking so long?? We were told that Quintette Rd. Was going to be resurfaced in 2025, we are now beyond the 1st.quarter and nothing is done yet.

Traffic circles are no answer. There is a traffic circle on Perdido key that is nothing but problems after problem. This is not Europe please dont brign their traffic problems here.

Should stop all big trucks from 29 to 95A on Quintette Rd. Or widen quintette to four lanes along this stretch

I agree with the suggestion to change that left turn from quintette road on to 95A. Log trucks will not be able to make that sharp left turn.
