JJs comment wasn’t wrong, bycylist CAN ride on either side of the road, just with the flow of traffic. BTW, same rule applies to people walking.

It’s people like JJ down below that offer an opinion as a fact when they’re not educated on the topic at all. Do not offer your opinion if you don’t know, research and actually educate yourself instead of believing. It’s a law to ride with the flow of traffic on a bike. Do your research.

A major problem is you never know where a bicycle is going to be they’ll be in the middle of the road they’ll be on the sidewalk they’ll be in the crosswalk And sometimes even in the bicycle lane you never know. It is dangerous for everyone involved. Hoping this young man has a full recovery

I ride a bike and the people in cars DO NOT EVEN LOOK FOR YOU. They are either playing with their phones or in a hurry and don’t come to a complete stop before shooting off and never even looking to see if a bike is there, and the county needs to have BIGGER BIKE LANES, because sometimes its full of debris from wrecks or whatever and you literally have no place to go to in case of an emergency. I feel the bike lanes should be at least half of a regular traffic lane then you would have space you can swerve if needed.

I hope he fully recovers. Riding against traffic on a bicycle is the most dangerous thing you can do, on a bike. Bicycles are required to ride with traffic. As happened here, drivers are not expecting a vehicle coming from the right at a relatively high rate of speed.
