Our trash pick up is Tuesday. Due to the storm, we did not receive a pick up. Now we must wait for a pick up on yhe next Tuesday. Fine. But when i called ECUA for a refund on the next bill for the week of no service, i was told I was not entitled to a refund. I protested and am having to pay for service I didn’t receive. They really have a monopoly.

I think ECUA does a great job with what they have. God bless them. People complain about the silliest things not realizing the circumstances. Thank God we have this service to begin with. Be thankful and grateful. We are blessed.

Thank you to all the men and women providing this service to all of us. These are unprecedented circumstances and we should all appreciate the efforts being taken to limit the inconveniences as much as they have been.

They smashed my garbage can and put it on the other side of my mailbox away from the good one. The lid and body are tore up. I guess I will call them Monday. Wonder how long it will take them to replace it.

1. ECUA might love to have more drivers. Check on it. Then maybe some of you will understand all the delays and concerns. Or just maybe, if you’re employed there, you can give suggestions on how to do things differently.

2. Some of you could burn your trash instead of just sitting and complaining.

Maybe it’s a good thing that I don’t have to pick up, lift up and turn over my trash can. I do believe my driver is angry every Tuesday during trash pick up, because every can on Molino Rd is turned over on the ground on both sides of the road. Take your time and sit the can down man, it only takes a second. You can tell when he’s having a bad day. Very few good days in his life, where the can is in it’s upright state.

Delayed garbage pick up is nothing to throw a fit over. There are other solutions until pick up is available. Glad ECUA put the safety of their employees first when roads were considered impassable. Praying for patience and understanding.

I understand that the weather has caused some delays. I am a Tuesday customer. My can was missed last week. Weather was bad this week. And I won’t get my trash dumped until next Tuesday? I do know that you can’t control the weather. But neither can we. I think our bill should reflect that we didn’t get service. We understand that it was done for safety. But bottom line. We did not get the service. So why should we have to pay for something we did not get? Everything is so expensive now. And families have had to use more heat than normal. Be it electric or LP. They are stretched this month just to keep heat in their homes. So let them keep the money from not getting service. Fair is fair. My husband and I are on a fixed income. Every penny counts.

I agree that safety is paramount and have no issues delaying runs for safety. But Mr. Bruce Woody, you didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know or could figure out. What you should be telling us is how are you going to.make it right for those of us effected by your decision? Going 2 weeks without service, we are going to need a double run next week at minimal so that we can have all our garbage collected. You sound like a typical politician and don’t provide a solution to a problem. If you are not capable of leading, maybe you should step down and allow someone else to direct.
