The majority of comments mention some magic list of solutions to this problem. At the end of the day, this was an accident, there is a grieving family, and words of support rather than unsolicited advice are appropriate.

I totally agree with Rasheed Jackson. I too drove back and forh to Pensacola for 35 years on Hwy 29. Most of the time, it is the people’s fault and not the road. Yes, there are lots of dark places on the road, but street lights are not going to help.
Yes, people are on their phones or just not paying attention to what they are doing and sometimes there is a medical issue that happens.
Speed is also a factor because people are always in a hurry, not to mention being behind log trucks and dump trucks.

Majority of these comments are ridiculous. This driver could’ve had some type of unsuspected health issue, you just don’t know. Be considerate of others and mindful of what you say. Prayers to this family and all that’s saddened by this loss. Praying for complete healing for the passenger.

You’d be in complete silence or mad if you had to read these comments if they were about your family. It’s time to act like adults and stop all of the pointless comments.

Some of yall judge so quickly. That was my Pop and Aunt in that truck. Some of you are so quick to judge. Something had to have been happening for neither one to have their seatbelts on. Anytime either of them got in any car they were buckled before the car started. And my Pop was definitely not on a phone let’s be honest he was an 83 year old man that didn’t even know how to even hardly use the cell phone he had.

I say all of that to say if it was your family members, how would you react to some of these comments you’re so quickly to post?

Susan! Why do you respond and didn’t have any idea what happened. Clearly he wasn’t on his phone being 83 years old. Maybe he had a heart attack or stroke of some sort! It’s not always phone or speeding! Praying for the family and my condolences goes out to the family: God bless
