Prayers for the lady who was injured in this accident and her family. If she recovers, there will still be a lifetime of daily reminders of this 100% preventable tragedy.
Someone pilfered the garbage left behind but the person responsible for this accident should come pickup the remainder of their trash they left on the side of the road.

The same thing happened to me on hwy 4 close to there trailer came off of truck hit me and knocked me off the road totaled my car but I wasn’t hur

It amazes me the people who simply do not rope or strap their cargo down . Just some rope tied to the sides with just some common sense. Clothes fly off, kids toys , etc . Just a month ago I picked up a bed headboard off Highway 4 . It musta been 125 lbs just guessing. I can only imagine it hitting a vehicle at 55 mph .. NOW … not only that but no chains ?? Come on people use some plain common sense. You would not want a 1000 lb trailer hit you or loved one out on the road . Inexcusable. I’m sorry but that driver needs to take safety classes from DOT or some kind of education on road safety.
Unbelievable… inexcusable,, very negligent and irresponsible

This is so sad. I pray that God is with this woman and her medical team and she survives. Prayers for her family too. Anyone who pulls a trailer should know safety chains are there for this very reason. Their neglect for safety caused this poor woman to be critically injured.

I see trailers all the time without safety chains. It is a moving violation with points for a reason. Sadly it is not routinely enforced.

OMG!! Yes, I am a woman, but I have been towing trailers, open bed, and cargo trailers for years. My dad taught me what to do, and how to tow. I always do many checks before I pull out of my driveway to make sure the chains are on right, the lights are working, and my tires are in good shape with the right amount of air pressure. I have also seen many old trailers, some look to be falling apart, being towed with junk on the trailer that are not tied down. Praying for the person that was injured, and praying for a full recovery.

Having been in the towing industry for a lot of years it disappoints me to see how many people tow compromised trailers and especially those who do not have or hook up SAFETY CHAINS this is a sad example of what can happen. Prayers for the injured
