What a friggin’ nightmare. Why close every single crossing at the same dang time? How stupid are these people. The train tracks divide Pensacola in half. Stupid!!!!

Glad to see the crossings are being maintained but the planning on which crossings to do simultaneously is piss poor to put it mildly!

Not a well thought out plan by CSX and FLDOT. A sequential flow of crossing closures should have been implemented for local residents as well as commuters! Or even every other crossing would have better served our community.

They need to fix the tracks that are on Atmosphere Rd. All those 18 wheelers coming across them is making the tracks pop up and knock the bottom out from under your vehicle.

Hopefully, the scheduled closing of 10 Mile Road will be after this week while the SEC Women’s Soccer Championships are being held at Ashton-Brosnaham Soccer Complex.

Thank you CSX! The work to make these crossings safer for your trains and citizens’ vehicles is most welcome. The benefits received are long term and far outweigh the minor inconvenience of a delay or alternate route for a short time.

Hopefully they’ll give a schedule via this website, radio, TV and provide a 24 to 48 hr notice. Possibly where tracks are near schools they’ll wait until schools start & stop & try to work around it. Maybe if we start looking now at alternate routes going to work, school, etc it will alleviate frustrated drivers.

A schedule might be nice as some locations such as Mystic Springs have people randomly camping at the sites in there and it might be nice to know they can’t get out.
