Also the residents are citizens of the county and pay the same taxes as everyone else, in addition to Century fees etc. We vote for our county representatives and the additional layer of government for the town. They have canceled the voice of an appointed citizen advisory task force and try to supplant their own agenda. It's up to the state to put a stop to this and remove the corrupt ineffective layer. His South Florida clowns created these three amended chater ballots votes to get more power. We should all vote no. Where was the public meeting to tell us about this and explain and let us ask questions? They tried to sneak it on the ballot. South Florida shenanigans. There is no competent council seated. You would think that at least one of them would object but they apparently don't have the backbone to do so. Gomez's handling of these matters is borderline criminal, if not actually so. One wonders how he manages to make it home at night.
