I think Mr Reynolds ought to be commended for the time and research it took to present this “expose”, if you will. An example of what investigative journalism used to be but sadly has all but disappeared.

@Fact checker, I’m not sure where you live and what you know about Century. But there are some very good neighborhoods with a century address. My church has a Century address, Northview High School has a Century address. Don’t classify an entire town because of some bad areas. I’m sure there are good people and areas of Prichard that don’t like to be categorized either.

I hope they do NOT replace the Freedom Road bridge as it will open up all the speeding and drugs back to that intersection again and we the people that live near there are tired of it! We cannot even get potholes fixed in the area. Anyone living in the area also knows that is a very POPULAR area from DRUG drops! Keep it closed!!!

Century is nothing but a Florida Prichard. Dissolve the charter. They have proven time and time again that they cannot govern themselves.

I will definitely vote for Steven Barry again as the eresidents of Century need his experience connections and guidance in this transition.

The state prison in the unincorporated area as well as the school district who depend on this needto take notice.

Saltzman and Broxson, this municipality need to be dissolved.

There is no one residing here who can step up to remedy this.

Hope the county will take over putting road signs back up on Stateline Road curve at the over pass and repair the reflector traffic strip.

It should be an emergency repair for road safety but they again do nothing.

A town employee knocked one askew when mowing and then a motorist knocked over another. What next, a head on.

That won’t cost anything.

The question here is why hasn’t the town of Century turned in financial statements to the state. That show accountability to the state for funds, and why has it taken Saltzman and Broxson so long to demand accountability.

Misfeasance and Malfeasance abounds.

The town hasn’t turned in audits and financial statements to the FL Auditor General on time as required by FL law. Also it was in a state of financial emergency and was supposed to notify JLAC years ago. I pointed this out to both Boutwell and Saltzman. I got back, I thought you were on my side. Duh. There is no side. Municipality get the authority from the state and there are requirements by law to operate.

I think the FL legislation is waiting until the outcome of the election to take action to dissolve the town.

I hope Barry stays in because a new guy won’t have a clue. Although Barry has been ineffective himsel
