Then the resurface came and Roads inc. left a 4 inch drop off from roadway to my driveway at 4887 hwy 95a north. If the contractor is remiss they can always have money deducted for failure to deliver services. The County Engineering Department provides an inspector for each project. They do a good job but are stretched thin. If you see a problem, report it via telephone, email or the "trouble" link. All that is googleable. In my own experience the County, contractors and inspectors do a good job but lapses can occur. I also know that County doesn't mind feedback, good or bad. Nice to see after I called county and complained about them closing the whole road, with no advance warning signs, or a place to turn around, they have flaggers at each intersection today. Don’t foresee it making a difference. The lanes were already in need of being widened and a shoulder would be great but not looking like they planned well at all. When you come out of your neighborhood and there’s no direction on which side on 196 is closed because the idiots can’t put a sign to let you know! Lost cause… Worst road crew ever! OOPS, I FORGOT,Road INC didnt do any shoulder work and left 4-8" dropoff from pavement at the mailboxes. Road Department came out and I was told R.I. would fix the problem. Not one piece of sod ,seeds or fill dirt was ever put down and the road was cracking within a year of my completion! CHECK IT OUT NORTH ESCAMBIA?
