@Marie, This is what’s wrong with the older generations. You’re literally condoning an old dude assaulting people with a knife because he felt disrespected? Are you kidding me? Most of the Boomer generation’s parenting techniques were abusive. Imagine thinking that slapping people in the face or threatening them with a knife is appropriate because you think you deserve respect just for being old.

Back in the day if we ever expressed disrespect to our parents or anyone,we got a good slap across our face,and dare you say anything or you got it again .You learned how to act,never would charges ever be brought,never .Not to mention he was fine until she went to his home and knew how he’d respond.Toughen up and learn respect ,stop being offended so easily

I think that this should not have happened If the daughter didn’t want to speak that’s her prerogative he could have ignored her.now you done gotten yourself in trouble for something that really could have been prevented,after this incident he’ll be lucky if his kids ever speak to him again the relationship was already strained you he just added insult to injury.Good luck Mr.Brown I surely hope you are sitting in there thinking about what you’ve done and also what can you do to better your life and situation .Father time isn’t on your side any more Man !!!!
